S-250-24 A switched-mode power
supply is an electronic power supply that incorporates a switching regulator to
efficiently convert electrical energy. Like other power supplies, an SMPS
transfers power from a DC or AC source to a DC load, such as a personal
computer, when converting voltage and current characteristics.
